boards.Surfing.je is a free platform for listing and browsing second-hand surfboards. Users can post their surfboards for sale and connect with potential buyers, all in one place.
2. How do I list my surfboard for sale?
Simply click on the “Sell My Board” link, fill out the listing form, and submit it. All listings are moderated to ensure quality, and once approved, they’ll be visible to other users.
3. How do buyers contact me?
Interested buyers can send a message through our platform, which will be forwarded to you via email. Since the platform isn’t transactional, further communication and the sale itself are managed outside the site.
4. Is my personal information stored on the site?
We only store the listing details. Your email address is kept securely on an external service and is only accessed when needed to send you a message notification. Otherwise, we don’t retain any personal data about users.
5. Are cookies used on the site?
We don’t use cookies for tracking, so there’s no requirement for cookie approval. You can browse and use the site without cookie notifications.
6. Is there any added security for my account?
Yes, for any secure actions (like managing or editing your listing), you’ll need to enter a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your email.
7. Can I complete a transaction through Surfing.je?
No, boards.Surfing.je is a platform to facilitate connections between buyers and sellers, but it doesn’t handle transactions. Once a buyer contacts you, any payment or exchange details should be arranged directly.
8. How long will my listing stay active?
Listings are typically active until explicitly requested to be removed. If you need to edit or remove your listing, you can do so using the secure actions with OTP confirmation.
9. I didn’t receive an email notification – what should I do?
If you didn’t receive an email notification from a buyer, check your spam or junk folder. You can also verify that the email address associated with your listing is correct.
10. Is there a fee for using Surfing.je?
boards.Surfing.je is completely free to use. Our mission is to support the local surfing community by providing a platform for easy, free surfboard listings. However, if you successfully sell your surfboard, we encourage a voluntary donation of 5-10% of the sale to Healing Waves, a local charity supporting accessible surfing experiences for all.
